We are not the Party of NO plan

Who keeps saying the Republicans do not have a plan??

People just don't want to take the time to look, do you expect the MSM to tout ANYTHING the Republicans have to offer?

The Roadmap to America's Future -Congressman Paul Ryan from Wisconsin

INTRODUCTION:

Rarely before have the alternatives facing America been so starkly defined.

For the past year, Washington’s leaders have taken an already unsustainable budget outlook and made it far worse. They have exploited Americans’ genuine economic anxieties to justify an unrelenting and wide-ranging expansion of government. Their agenda has included, among other things, a failed, debt-financed economic “stimulus”; an attempt to control the Nation’s energy sector; increasing domination of housing and financial markets; the use of taxpayer dollars to seize part ownership of two nearly bankrupt auto makers; and, of course, the planned takeover of Americans’ health care, already heavily burdened, manipulated, and distorted by government spending and regulation. This domineering government brings taxes, rules, and mandates; generates excessive levels of spending, deficits, and debt; leads to economic stagnation and declining standards of living; and fosters a culture in which self-reliance is a vice and dependency a virtue – and as a result, the entire country weakens from within.

Increasingly, Americans are rejecting this approach, and for good reason. But the status quo is not acceptable either. The Federal Government’s current fiscal path is unsustainable: it leads to unprecedented levels of spending and debt that will overwhelm the budget, smother the economy, weaken America’s competitiveness in the 21st century global economy, and threaten the survival of the government’s major benefit programs. The President and congressional Majority are only hastening America’s march toward this reckoning, adding to trillions of dollars worth of unfunded liabilities, and accelerating the erosion of Americans’ health care and retirement security. Their “progressivism” ironically points backwards – to a future in which America’s best century is the past century.

There is another choice, as reflected by the proposal described in this report: A Roadmap for America’s Future. It is a comprehensive, alternative approach to the Nation’s most pressing domestic priorities. Specifically, the plan addresses the following:

▫ Health Care. It provides universal access to affordable health coverage, not by expanding government, but by reinforcing the role of consumers – patients – in a truly competitive marketplace. In conjunction with this, the plan takes on the necessary task of restructuring the government’s medical entitlements, making them sustainable for the long term.

▫ Retirement Security. It saves and strengthens Social Security, making the program sustainable for the long run, and helping expand investments needed for economic growth.

▫ Tax Policy. It offers an alternative to today’s needlessly complex and inefficient tax code, providing the option of a simplified mechanism that better promotes and rewards work, saving, and investment.

▫ Job Training. It helps the Nation’s workforce prepare for success in the global economy by transforming 49 job training programs, scattered across eight agencies, into a flexible, dynamic program focused on results, and accompanied by clear measures of transparency and accountability. The plan requires the development of performance measures, and gives each State the option to consolidate funding into one program, if such an approach can be shown to improve outcomes and achieve job training goals.

This plan is not simply a slimmer version of the “progressive” ideology. It is a true alternative, and a complete legislative proposal consisting of specific policies supported by Congressional Budget Office estimates of its fiscal and economic consequences. More important, it is based on a fundamentally different vision from the one now prevailing in Washington. It focuses government on its proper role; it restrains government spending, and thus limits the size of government itself; it rejuvenates the vibrant market economy that made America the envy of the world; and it restores an American character rooted in individual initiative, entrepreneurship, and opportunity – qualities that make each American’s pursuit of personal destiny a net contribution to the Nation’s common good as well. In short, it is built on the enduring truths from which America’s Founders established this great and exceptional Nation.

This proposal does not attempt to abandon commitments Americans established over the past century, or to dismantle government. It recognizes that government has a necessary role in supporting the institutions through which Americans live their lives, and in providing a safety net for those who face financial or other hardships. But it rests on the conviction that government’s principal role is to maintain the freedoms through which individuals can pursue their own destinies. As Jefferson put it: “A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government.”

The balance of this introduction describes these two futures in detail. The remainder of the report describes the principal domestic challenges through which this choice appears at present, and then presents a full description and explanation of the policies embraced in this legislation.
Oh and let's not forget the already long time running....

YOU CUT Program

Have you heard of the ECONOMIC FREEDOM ACT??

Economic Recovery Through Private Sector Growth

The American economy lost over 7 million jobs, and the American people are more than 4 trillion dollars deeper in debt today because the tax-and-spenders in Washington, D.C. failed to heed President Reagan’s words:
“Government is not the solution to our problem.
Government is the problem"
The multi-trillion dollar government stimulus programs and taxpayer-funded bailouts have failed. A growing private sector economy is the only “stimulus program” that will create the jobs needed to restore America’s economic strength.

Congressman Jordan and Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) have introduced H.R. 5029, the Economic Freedom Act, a plan to unleash the power of America’s private sector economy.

The Economic Freedom Act would terminate the TARP and repeal the remaining stimulus, replacing them with a real stimulus plan to create jobs by:

Reducing The Payroll Tax by Half for 2010

Providing immediate stimulus by increasing workers’ paychecks and improving the bottom line for employers

Eliminating The Capital Gains Tax

Encouraging the risk-taking and investment that is at the heart of the entrepreneurial spirit

Reducing the Corporate Tax Rate to 12.5%

Improving America’s competitiveness in the global market and providing incentives for expansion and job creation

Permanently Eliminating the Death Tax

Ensuring that small businesses and family farms, the engine of our economy, will continue creating jobs for future generations

Providing Immediate Business Expensing

Encouraging long-term reinvestment in business, increasing competitiveness and creating jobs
If that isn't enough of a start for you then go HERE and make copies or learn enough to tell your friends of either Party what the plan consists of.

I will admit we need to get the message out better but then again we only have a few outlets where we can make that happen. It is up to us as responsible citizens to become informed before we vote.

So as you can see WE already have plans in place to begin to restore America.

Some thoughts about the Ground Zero Mosque

I break this debate down to just a few questions:

1) As pointed out by Glenn Beck, why is this Iman going around the world telling Muslims we are "the good guys" (on our dime) while his wife is here saying we are racists and have Islamophobia because we ask a couple of questions about the actual meaning of the location of this mosque, the funding for it and the true convictions of the people behind it?

2) Why aren't these questions being answered?

3) Why is the left so hell-bent on defending the building of this Mosque while they have cared less for the restitution to the 9-11 first responders and the rebuilding of the Greek Orthodox church that was actually damaged by the  attack that day?

4) Why are the left reporters lying about the true meaning of the Cordoba initiative? Look up Cordoba and the other sites of famous mosques and see what had been there before they were built.

5) Where was this uproar and defense of the Constitution over Rev. Billy Graham Jr. when he was denied the opportunity to speak at the Pentagon (which has a facility for Muslims to practice their faith inside)?

6) Where was the uproar when the President, Barack Hussein Obama did not want to speak in front of the Boy Scouts of America who traditionally espouse Christian values??

I am also concerned to hear ( I work at a political fundraising call center) people are telling me that a VA hospital specifically in California) has a room for the Islamic workers...which dominate the staff ...to pray and such but the other denominations do not have the same such rooms.... why is that??

7) Why the **** are we so afraid of offending this group of people??

If this nation was full of hate for Muslims, what would be more of a reason to lash out against them;

a) Killing 3000 Americans and destroying the World Trade Center...or

b) Killing 2 Army recruiters in Arkansas in cold blood?...or

c) Killing and wounding 30+ people in an attack at an Army base (FT. Hood Tx)...or

d) Planning to destroy subway systems or sports stadiums?...or

e) Attempting to blow up a plane over Detroit at Christmas time?...or

f) Attempting to set off a bomb in Times Square and kill an untold number of people....or

g) Plotting and actually using a dummy bomb set up by the FBI to blow up a building and want to fly planes into more targets in New York City?...or

f) Building a F*****g Mosque at the site of the attack on America that started this entire mess to begin with???

Which event has the greatest backlash potential??

How much more do we have to take? How tolerant does one nation have to be towards their enemies??

There are untold numbers of other incidents where these people are attempting to circumvent our laws and our Constitution and entrench their hatred and BS Sharia law into our society. These ingrates are just another form of the Progressive cancer we are suffering from and the total destruction of the radical side of these extremist, haters is the only answer.

Oh yeah if you are still on the fence check this out to see what we are up against, you will be enlightened and informed;

3 things you should know about Islam

More about the Green Movement farce...

So how are the other 'advanced" nations that Obama wants us to emulate faring in their Green movements? From what I read here it sounds more like a bowel movement.

America is Following the Wrong Path

by Rebecca Rast

Remember the saying, just because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean you have to do it, or the question, if all your friends were jumping off a cliff, would you do the same?

That question implies that being a follower is not always the best thing to be. It's not only a good question to ask a friend, but the government as well. Even the President.

Putting America on a strict diet to only consume renewable energy in order to cut down on greenhouse gases is not a new trend. In fact, this diet Barack Obama fully supports has left some European countries sick and ailing.

European countries began government-sponsored renewable energy programs in the early to mid 2000's; Obama began implementing similar ones in America when he took office in 2009. He was confident, and maybe still is, that countries like Spain , Germany and Italy had the right idea.

No way you mean "stimulus" money is really a slush fund for Progressive Democrat vote buying?

Who would have thought that millions of tax-payer dollars would be spent to help a Chicago union upgrade a building for themselves!!

I know when you read this you will be amazed that this project was scheduled to create 51 jobs but in reality it created 13.78 at only a low low cost of $181,000+/job!!

Impressive.

Now wait until you see who benefited from this, couldn't be a Progressive  Corruptocrat Congress person already waist deep in another TARP fund scandal could it? Or maybe it is the Union who provided the maximum political contributions to said Progressive Corruptocrat?

read it and see----you make the call...

$2.5 Million Stimulus Project to Benefit Congresswoman’s Biggest Donor

by Joel Pollack
$2.5 million of federal stimulus money went to an energy firm in the Chicago area that used the grant to build a new heating system for the headquarters of Local 150 of the International Union of Operating Engineers, located in Chicago’s southwest suburbs.

So you see your tax dollars that we didn't have in the first place going to work for Obama's pals yet again.

The result of the Progressive takeover

So Barack Obama and his Progressive Democrat Party do not want us to return to the
 "failed policies of the past"

Well lets see what the current direction the policies of the Progressives who re-established control over Congress in 2006 has taken us.

from Glenn Beck.com

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ssIhiD8kKM&feature=player_embedded

Remember Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have been the conductors of this train known as the Congress of the United States of America.

Now with the false assumption that just because the ultimate Progressive lied his way into getting elected to the Presidency, they have been granted complete and total uncontrolled permission to steer the train to the inevitable derailment their failed policies are heading us to.

The last Progressive experiment has failed as miserably as the previous ones have. There can be no "Great Society" nor can there be "collective salvation" in the form of a huge all encompassing government.

Remember the Constitution is our insurance policy against tyranny.

Just one more thing to pass along to your freinds and to remember on Nov. 2nd

Reagan Rocks!! Plain and simple

He always knew, but especially then how to contrast the Progressives (LIBERALS) compared to Conservatives so you can clearly see the truth really is in the ideals that this country was founded on.

The left elites have controlled the narrative for so long and Reagan's comment about them has never been more applicable. thanks PUBLIUS

Tuesday Open Thread: Clarity Edition
It is impossible to overstate how much we love Ronald Reagan. May we live long enough to see another leader like him. This video is from the Republican Study Committee. Whether they are up to the task will be determined in just a few months.

Neither "tolerance" nor "peace" is spelled .....I-S-L-A-M

So Islam is all about PEACE? Is this what will be taught in the tolerant Mosque at Ground Zero?

Is this the true meaning of Islam? Where are the protests against the slaughter of innocent aid workers?

Who are you Maxine Waters?

The old "The Who" song Who are you? seems fitting as we begin to peel back the layers of one of the Democrat party's biggest leftist hypocrite's; Maxine Waters.

In 1995 she was very concerned about finding out who Newt Gingrich "really" was, so let's get on with it Maxine. Tell us "Who the **** are YOU!"

Is this who you really are?

Of Course you didn't break any rules!

Blame Bush for your unethical behavior--why not your party has blamed him for everything else!!

Maxine is misbehavin.

The cost of corruption; you mean TARP money is involved in Mad Maxine's adventures?

Just another tale of the hypocrisy of the left, they claim to be so sweet and pure and the champions of the 'little guy' but the real agenda is all about money, power and control.

Calvin Coolidge: Simply Responsible

A nice tribute to the man even Reagan appreciated and looked to for fiscally responsible advice.

With private industry under federal ownership, trillion dollar budget deficits and American leadership floundering under arrogance and hubris, Americans would do well to heed the legacy of our nation’s 30th president, who was born on July 4, 1872.

Unfortunately, conservatives are either unaware of Calvin Coolidge or would rather avoid him as a subject, perhaps because his presidency ended just months before the stock market crash of ’29. The progressive Teddy Roosevelt is considered a much safer choice to stand with Ronald Reagan as the 20th Century’s best Republican presidents.

Coolidge is rated by historians as, at best, mediocre, and somehow the march of time has left his memory behind in the midst of a quaint, bygone era. The socially awkward country lawyer — who looked like he’d been weaned on a pickle (attributed to Alice Roosevelt Longworth) — is usually considered about as timeless as speakeasies and silent movies.

Or maybe not. Syndicated columnist Cal Thomas says it’s about time Calvin Coolidge got another look. The late Bob Novak concurred: “I only wish we had him around for the 21st Century.” Like Ronald Reagan nearly 60 years later, who hung Silent Cal’s portrait in the Cabinet Room of the White House, Coolidge presided over an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity.

Top income tax rates, set during World War I, hovered in the 70s, so Coolidge, like Warren Harding before him and with a Republican Congress, lowered them to about 25 percent, not out of mere pragmatism but out of principle. “I want the American people to work less for the government and more for themselves,” said Coolidge. “I want them to have the rewards of their own industry. This is the chief meaning of freedom.”

With the same frugality that defined his tough, rural Vermont upbringing, the Coolidge Administration employed thrift in balancing the federal budget, including a controversial stand against a veteran’s bonus. Nonetheless, the 1924 budget, the smallest since before the war, was a source of pride for the administration. He also exhibited restraint in the exercise of power.

Again, Coolidge’s spare, modest approach to public service was borne of an abiding respect for goodness, simplicity and hard work as America’s best and most defining characteristics, all stemming from an implacable faith in God. “Our government rests upon religion,” Coolidge declared. “It is from that source that we derive our reverence for truth and justice, for equality and liberty, and for the rights of mankind…”

Coolidge left the U.S. mostly peaceful and prosperous — much work was needed in the area of social justice, particularly civil rights, though he supported women’s suffrage, limited funding for welfare and measures to improve workplace safety.

The stock market crashed roughly six months after he left office. Though some modern historians (such as Thomas E. Wood, Jr., author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History) note that the Great Depression was caused by the over-corrective measures of the Hoover and Roosevelt Administrations, Coolidge is forgotten and dismissed not for just for the hardships of the 30s but for who he was.

A quick perusal of presidential reference books will show that Coolidge, like Republican presidents to follow, was dismissed both as a commoner in over his head and as a shill for the rich. In fact, like his reputation, his most memorable quote has been twisted beyond all recognition. In 1925, he did say to the American Society of Newspaper Editors that “the chief business of the American people is business.” Critics have turned that remark against him, though he was speaking in a very limited context and he consistently noted that national wealth was but a means to an end, always stressing the importance of character as a public virtue.

Said Coolidge, “The accumulation of wealth means the multiplication of schools, the increase of knowledge, the dissemination of intelligence, the encouragement of science, the broadening of outlook, the expansion of liberty, the widening of culture.”

Presidential historians, mostly liberals, dote on the intellectual bravado of Woodrow Wilson and FDR — indeed, snobbery has never been predicated solely on material or social status (though FDR enjoyed both) — a supposedly superior mind is reason enough for liberals to roll their eyes at average folks.

But to argue that Coolidge was smart — he was an avid history buff — misses the point. He was good, simple and honest, and to America in 1924, that was enough.

From the perspective of presidential history, he is the un-Obama, plain in appearance, simple in style and taste and spare with his words. He built his presidency on his faith in the American people, who, in turn, were richly rewarded. He embodied substance over style, deeds over words (“Let men in office substitute the midnight oil for the limelight.”) and humility over self-aggrandizement. Talk about audacity!

Conservatives today ask what Ronald Reagan would do, but Reagan had his own shining example in Silent Cal. Perhaps President Obama could glean a little wisdom from our 30th president who remarked, just before his death, that common sense and hard work are the real solvents for the nation’s problems.

Author’s note: Kudos to the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation (calvin-coolidge.org). Also, a treasure trove of Coolidge quotes are available in The Quotable Calvin Coolidge, compiled and edited by Peter Hannaford, Images from the Past Publishers, 2001.

Incrementalism: How the left gets it done

I love chocolate, you can cover just about anything in it and it will taste better, even bugs!

Candy-coating and using an agenda that always seems to have one piece that you can swallow while the rest may leave a bad taste in your mouth has been the modis operendi of the left for decades.

I will give you the tobacco industry and the attempt to build clean-burning Nuclear power plants as two examples and I'll throw in the demise of the full-sized SUV just for good measure.

The left came up with a "reasonable" arguement for why we shouldn't have these items and piece by piece, vote by vote, regulation by regulation they INCREMENTALLY took these things away or dimimished them to just another tax generating device for the corrupt politicians in Washinton D.C.

Why was this able to happen you ask?

Well it just didn't matter.....here are some more things that just haven't mattered...

Why is it that we have to gain so much of our news about what is happening from the left in America from international sources?

Because we have a shameful excuse for a media in this country, that's why.

The real change needs to start at the grade-school level and parents need to become informed so they can relate the truth to their children.

Democrats have a shady plan to steal the election in the fall.

Part of it is to:
  1. Convince young voters that the Progressive Obama agenda is good for the country
  2. Convince people that America is the bad guy
  3. Convince the poor that it is exil capitalism that made them poor and took away all of their chances at success.
  4. Convince people that government should replace God as the method of tything and helping those in need.

Turning their backs on America

Politicians are cowards, I bet they didn't even see if it was ok with their constituents whether or not they should oppose or defend these issues.

They just think that just because they were elected that we think that they know better than we do!!

Just wondering.......

Is it that Obama is toxic for the re-election hopes for the Democrats or could it be that the Democrats who refuse to meet with Obama are showing the true racism that has always been inherent in the party for decades?.......just wondering

Like I said Dems cut spending Hahahaha How 'bout that STIMULUS

You know LONG-TERM growth to spur on the economy. What a sham and a farce!! Impeachable offenses lying in office. Obama is a loser, a fraud and the worst executive we have EVER seen!! Can you imagine him on
"The Apprentice" ???

Some exerpts from the Glenn Beck radio show letting you in on  some STIMULUS that will make you head bleed!!

Glenn Beck: Stimulus in action

GLENN: $554,763 spent on replacing windows on a visitor's center in Washington State that closed its door three years ago. Your stimulus dollars at work. $762,372 was given to the University of North Carolina Charlotte for dance draw. What ?

PAT: What's dance draw?

GLENN: Dance draw. It's like YouTube of dance or Dance Tube.
PAT: Okay.

GLENN: This will allow choreographers to explore interactive dance without having a full cast of dancers present.

PAT: Oh. Now the country's fixed.

GLENN: $762,372.

PAT: That will help the economy.

GLENN: We don't have steel mills anymore. We don't lead the world in any kind of industry anymore. We don't make refrigerators or televisions because we're going to do all the paperwork. We're going to be the finance people. Oh, no, we're not going to do that anymore. I think we're going to lead the world in dance tube.

STU: Really ? Because I was planning a run for a Constitutional amendment on choreography, but I think this pretty much takes care of it.

PAT: Does it? Do you think this is enough?

STU: I don't think we need to do more.

GLENN: We've got more. $62.5 million for a light rail tunnel under the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh. Do you know why? Go on. Ask me why.

PAT: Why, Glenn?

GLENN: Really? Do you want to know? This is a stimulus this is going to change people's lives.

STU: I want to know.

GLENN: All right. I'm going to tell you, then. They want to connect sports stadiums to the casinos.

PAT: Oh, I love of that.

GLENN: Uh huh.

PAT: I love that.

GLENN: That's going to fix America. That is fixing America. It's the light rail that I'm for. Usually I think a light rail is just a bunch of hogwash. I'm for this because of the jobs it creates and saves.

PAT: Yeah. An think of the convenience of going right from a PNC park directly to the casino.

GLENN: $73 million for two fire stations in San Antonio. $73 million for two fire stations in San Antonio. $11.2 million to convert a tiny closed down train station into a museum.

PAT: Wow.

GLENN: $1.9 million to fund the study of ants.

PAT: Those are exotic ants.

GLENN: Not just regular ants. Oh, exotic ants, like the one that's living here illegally and we don't deport?

PAT: No. Glenn Beck baselessly accuses the government of studying just regular ants. No, no.

GLENN: No. You said exotic ants. They're from another country.

PAT: No, no.

GLENN: Okay. $90,000 for new sidewalks in Boynton, Oklahoma, to replace five year old sidewalks, five year old. They're five years old $90,000.

PAT: You don't want ---

GLENN: Well, the sidewalk also leads to a ditch.

STU: Yeah, but the ditch is in good shape.

GLENN: $40 million for upgraded office space and indoor parking for Kansas law makers, $40 million. $50 million for WNBA practice facilities in Connecticut. I didn't even know that the WNBA was still -- $15.8 million no bid contract to

PAT: Halliburton. Is it Halliburton? No big contract. Halliburton. Another no big contract for Halliburton.

GLENN: No, it's not Halliburton, no, but it's $15.8 million no bid contract to clean up the environmental mess that they helped create…. 762,372 to a Georgia Tech professor so he can study improvised music.

PAT: That's good.

GLENN: Improvised music.

PAT: That's great.

STU: That's creating a job, because he had a job and now he has two jobs. So

GLENN: What's great is it's improvised music. If we can take that $762,372 and combine it with the same amount to the University of North Carolina Charlotte for the dance draw, maybe we can get improvised music and dance tube

STU: Well, Glenn, if you've said it once, you've said it a thousand times. The problem with this country is preplanned music. You have to start improvising music.

GLENN: Can I tell you something?

STU: It was Woodrow Wilson who created preplanned music. He's the one that did it.

GLENN: When did the player piano start? Exactly right. Around that time period

PAT: If not a little bit before.

GLENN: Because music anticipates what's coming. Do you see what I mean? They're artists. Theknow.

STU: Yep.

GLENN: They know. The bees know. Where's the hit the sound.

STU: Yeah. That's what happens when he says the bees know.

GLENN: And I think, really, if we're going to do the bees know, don't we all have to say the bees know

STU: That's the plan, but you didn't warn us.

GLENN: They know it and

ALL: The bees know .

GLENN: It doesn't really work. okay. Here we go. Now, this one's not going to piss you off, America. We're just going over stimulus package and how the money has been spent. $144,541 to get monkeys high on cocaine to see how they respond.

STU: That's interesting.

PAT: I didn't know.

GLENN: Is there a problem with monkeys?

PAT: You want the know what's going to happen if you get your monkeys stoned.

STU: You don't want to get them high. You don't want to do that.

GLENN: I know people get their babies stoned. I've seen the YouTube videos. I haven't seen the Dance Tube on it, but I've seen the YouTube individuals where people take they babies they should go to jail for this and blow the smoke of pot or something in the baby's face, which is always so cute when you've done that to an infant. But is somebody wasting their cocaine on their monkeys?

STU: Happens all the time. A huge problem in America.

GLENN: I mean, as a former cocaine user, I wouldn't have shared my cocaine with my best friend. And by the way, my best friend was Pat --

PAT: He never asked.

GLENN: I wouldn't have shared it. In fact, he would have probably called the police.

STU: Yeah.

GLENN: $497,893 to quit smoking and get a Smart Phone. What is that?

STU: They were buying Smart Phones for people so when they felt like they might smoke, they could call someone and they could tell them not to smoke. So, that's a Smart Phone.

PAT: That's a good smoking campaign?

STU: Yeah. I think so. Maybe not the most effective.

GLENN: Why do they hate kids? Why do they hate kids? Why do people in Washington hate kids?

STU: What do you mean?

GLENN: They raised the smoking tax to be able to pay for insurance. So, everybody would stop----- smoking hurts the children.

STU: That's true.

GLENN: Why do they hate children?

PAT: That's a good point. I think you're going to like this next expenditure, though?

GLENN: $199,862 helping Serbians lobby Russian policymakers.

PAT: Siberian.

GLENN: Oh, Siberian.

PAT: It would make sense to have Serbians to lobby Russian policymakers. You want the Siberians to lobby the Russian policy maker.

GLENN: Why do we care? How is that helping our economy? Is there a plot?

STU: Creating jobs for Siberians.

GLENN: $298,543 to help predict the weather. Right now you're going well, that might be really let me finish the sentence. To help predict weather on other planets.

PAT: What are you, a planet phobe? What are you? A Zeta planet phobe? You don't want other people on other planets to anticipate what they should be wearing that day?

GLENN: Why do you hate the red planet?

PAT: Yeah. Why? Good question. Glad you brought it up.

GLENN: That's why I hate it. I hope they just cover this on TV because, you know, I only watch TV once a while in the morning and they will say, if you're traveling to Atlanta, it's going to be hot, 98 and a chance of a thunderstorm. If you happen to be going to Mars, it is, of course, going to be very cold, with a chance of really cold.

PAT: Low about 250 below zero. The high today around 219 below.

GLENN: Now, we can't tell you for sure, but we have this new technology to predict the weather on other planets.

PAT: 312 on Venus today.

GLENN: $456,663 to Cal Berkley to study global circulation in the atmosphere of Neptune. You can't make this up. 712,883 goes to scientists who are trying to create a joke machine.

PAT: I think they've already done that.

GLENN: It's called Congress.

PAT: Uh huh, uh huh.

STU: A joke machine? I totally want a joke machine. That's the best thing they've spent on it on so far.

GLENN: $500,000 to Dayton, Ohio, for microchips to track citizens' use of recycling bins. Let me tell you something, you put one of those recycling bins on my porch or moon my curb, you're not going to need a chip to track it because it will be in your ###. You can look for it there.

STU: It would be difficult.

GLENN: Oh, it might be difficult for you to keep it there, but it won't be hard for me to shove it up there.

STU: So, you wouldn't list yourself as pro recycling? I'm just trying to clarify.

GLENN: No. I just read that off of a piece of paper that was just spat out by my joke machine.

Democrats cut spending HAhahahaha

If you haven't yet heard of  YOUCUT  it is a very important piece of the puzzle for the upcoming elections. This is PROOF POSITIVE that the Progressive Democrats have no interest in cutting spending and here is the latest example:

The YouCut project is focused on solutions - when we ask for ideas to cut spending, we don't ask if it is a Republican idea or a Democrat idea, we just ask if it is a good idea.

This week's YouCut item had the promise of bipartisanship. Last week, four House Democrats proudly announced their own ideas for spending cuts - we took one of their ideas and offered it on the House floor for a vote. We didn't change their proposal.

Three of those four then voted against one of their own ideas, which they had proudly supported at a press conference less than a week before. Click here to see where your Representative stood on this vote.

When we first heard that a small group of our colleagues from the other side of the isle were interested in cutting spending, we were optimistic that they would work with us on actually getting it done. Sadly, it was not to be - they will even vote against their own ideas, simply because the motion to vote is from another party.

They talk about cutting spending, but they haven't voted that way. We will continue to present them with opportunities to follow through on their rhetoric - your vote each week gives us the ability to do that. Click here to vote on the next five cuts, which are already up on the YouCut website.

Our country is at a critical crossroads. Either we will make the difficult decisions and approach the challenge posed by our staggering national debt like adults, or we will continue down the dangerous path of reckless spending - burdening our children and grandchildren with the cost.

Eric Cantor

Really Barney Frank should be ashamed!!

Just when you thought you had heard it all...

Rep Barney Frank causes a scene demanding discount  drudge report

Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank caused a scene when he demanded a $1 senior discount on his ferry fare to Fire Island's popular gay haunt, The Pines, last Friday. Frank was turned down by ticket clerks at the dock in Sayville because he didn't have the required Suffolk County Senior Citizens ID. A witness reports, "Frank made such a drama over the senior rate that I contemplated offering him the dollar to cool down the situation." Frank made news last year when he was spotted looking uncomfortable around a bevy of topless, well-built men at the Pines Annual Ascension Beach Party. Frank's spokesperson confirmed to Page Six that his partner, James Ready, asked the ticket office for a regular ticket for himself and a senior ticket for Frank, "but was turned down because Frank didn't have a resident ID."

Really Barney now why won't you put up the same fuss about the billions of dollars wasted by Fannie and Freddie and their involvement in the financial collapse that we are currently in??

Lies Lies Lies Yeah!!--Read my lips....I mean let me be clear version

What is it going to take? If we start to try to catalog the last 18 months of lies, cheating, deceitful tactics, misrepresentations, bullying, ignoring the American people etc... we couldn't get it all done by November to create the ad campaign in time for the elections.

Let's start now anyway so we can have it all together by 2012.

This administration is in constant deception mode at a rate of minute by minute actions constantly taking place that need noting.

Now I hear certain people who support this administration say that 'he was elected by the American people' so we must want his agenda.

I say he was elected because he never truly represented what he really stood for until the final days and even then he was vague.  Hope and Change, he didn't say he hoped we would collapse in on ourselves and then change into socialists.

Now as we see EVERY piece of his agenda is rejected by a clear majority of America(ns).

He never said he would use TARP money as a way to take control of the banks and bailout his contributors, but when we found out that what was happening we stated we were against it.

He didn't say he would spend 1 trillion dollars more each year than Bush did in 8 years while he was running for office, but when we found out what the stimulus would cost we said we were opposed to it.

He said his healthcare care plan was going to save money and be deficit neutral while they were proposing it but when we realized what was really going to happen we opposed it.

Now that we have the beginning pieces falling into place and we see the huge costs to major industries and now the government is behind on writing the thousands of pages of new regulations and they have missed a number of implementation deadlines.

On that note, remember when the Obama administration said that the health care mandates were not really taxes well I guess that wasn't really the case either....

White House Admits Obamacare's Individual Mandate is a Tax

Throughout his presidential campaign, then-candidate Barack Obama promised the American people: “If you’re a family that’s making $250,000 a year or less, you will see no increase in your taxes.” After he became President, Barack Obama reiterated that pledge, promising the American people in his September 9th health care press conference: “The middle-class will realize greater security, not higher taxes.” But Obamacare does contain tax hikes. Tons of them. From taxes on tanning beds to taxes on employment and investments, Obamacare is a certified job-killing machine. more...

No matter how you slice it it comes up......FAILURE

Since Rush made his prophetic "I hope he fails" comment directed towards Barack Obama's agenda in Jan 2009 we have seen pretty much just that.  Up until now they hadn't admitted it to all of us who already have known this for sometime now.

But someone's chickens are coming to roost and it would appear that the great Progressive experiment has run it's due course and has proven to be well...
a failure.

This administration is so afraid to reveal it's true intentions and the true cost of their agenda to us all that they won't even introduce a budget to be passed this year.
An Admission of Failure    The HERITAGE FOUNDATION

It is established practice in Washington that if you have to release bad news, it is best to do it on a Friday ... the later in the day the better. So not only did the White House schedule the publication of the "Mid-Session Budget Review" for last Friday, but they then released it three hours late to ensure that as few reporters as possible were left in the nation's capital to cover it. But Heritage's dedicated budget team patiently waited the Obama administration out, and their analysis shows that this year's mid-session review is nothing short of a complete admission of failure of the White House's economic policies.

When President Obama sold his $862 billion economic stimulus to the American people, he promised that, if enacted, it would prevent unemployment from ever rising above 8%. With unemployment currently at 9.5%, the American people are now well aware that the President's stimulus has been a complete failure. But Friday's report was the first time this Administration was forced to admit just how long Americans will have to suffer for their failed economic policies. According to Friday's report, the Obama administration now projects that unemployment will average 9% throughout all of next year and 8.1% throughout 2012.

And if that news wasn't bad enough, the report pegs this year's budget deficit at $1.471 trillion, or 10% of the entire U.S. economy. In nominal dollars, it's the largest deficit in American history; and as a percentage of the economy, it's the largest deficit since World War II. To pay for that $1.471 trillion hole, our government will borrow 41 cents of every dollar it spends. And the Obama Administration concedes that these large deficits are here to stay. It projects another $1.42 trillion deficit in 2011, which is $150 billion worse than previously predicted. Looking ahead, the President's budget includes deficits that never fall below $698 billion and leaves our children with $18.5 trillion in debt by 2020. And all this assumes the economy will grow 4% from 2012-2014. The only times the economy performed that well in the past thirty years was from 1997-2000 and from 1983-1985.

These future deficits are driven almost exclusively by rising spending. As Heritage Foundation analyst Brian Riedl noted earlier this year: "Before the recession, federal spending totaled $24,000 per U.S. household. President Obama would hike it to $36,000 per household by 2020 — an inflation-adjusted $12,000-per-household expansion of government." There is a way out of this deficit nightmare: stop spending. If the federal government managed to return to the per-household spending level of the Reagan administration, the budget would be balanced by 2012 without any tax hikes. Too ambitious? Just returning to the per-household spending levels that existed before the current recession would balance the budget by 2019.

But that is not the route this President wants to take. President Obama wants to close the gap between what our government spends and what it takes in by raising taxes by $3 trillion. His Treasury secretary was on television yesterday claiming this massive tax tsunami would have no effect on economic growth. After last Friday's Mid-Session Budget Review exposed the failure of this Administration's economic stimulus claims, does anybody believe anything this Administration says anymore?
